You must be a student at a U.S. or U.S. Territories college or university OR be a faculty member at a Minority Serving Institute.

Students at the following levels are eligible:

  • community college
  • undergraduate
  • graduate
  • post-docs 
The Tapia Conference is unable to provide scholarships for individuals studying or working at foreign colleges and universities.
Mentors and Students Workshops

hOW WILL I BE CHOSEN?

Scholarships are reviewed by over 90 professional volunteers in industry and academia based upon:

  • Overall strength of the application and written essay
  • Applicant’s level of accomplishment in computer science
