Nate Derbinsky is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Teaching Faculty in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He is passionate about CS for All and delivers courses, talks, and seminars intended to spark excitement about computing; encourage collaboration and exploration; and help pursue a variety of computation-enabled fields. His research contributes to the field of Cognitive Systems, and he serves on the organizing committees for Educational Advances in Artificial Intelligence (EAAI) and for the Undergraduate Consortium, as well as the committee on Diversity and Inclusion of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). He is also a Technical Advisor at the Center for Inclusive Computing, which supports university computing programs across the U.S. in implementing evidence-based practices to bring substantially more women into computing.
