Dr. Aleata Hubbard Cheuoua is a Senior Research Associate in WestEd’s Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) program. Dr. Hubbard Cheuoua is committed to improving the learning and teaching of computing. Her research focuses on understanding and documenting the knowledge educators develop around how to teach computing, particularly at the secondary school level. She also conducts external program evaluations in the areas of informal and alternative pathways into computing and professional learning for high school and community college instructors. In addition to research and program evaluation, she designs and implements systems to clean, organize, and summarize data for large-scale education studies and program monitoring.
