Yalini Senathirajah

Biography
Yalini Senathirajah, PhD is Visiting Associate Professor of biomedical informatics at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her research focuses on design and improvement of electronic health records using a novel end-user design paradigm, and patient-facing technology interventions for health promotion particularly for minority or underserved patients. She directs the department MD/PhD program, has taught at Downstate medical center in Brooklyn, and has a particular interest in finding alternate pathways for diverse students to enter the field. She also has an interest in technology innovation for human rights.
