Biography
Shana Watters is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. She teaches a variety of computer science courses, ranging from introductory programming to graduate-level software engineering. She supervises numerous student groups including the ICPC, ACM, ACM-W, Code the Gap, Women in Computer Science, and Google Developer Student Club. She is active in developing and improving initiatives to encourage and engage undergraduate students in research and to increase the success and persistence rates in the first computer science courses. She has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
