Rima A. Awad is a Cyber Security Research engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. At ORNL, Rima has been involved in several cutting-edge Cyber security R&D projects with the initial main focus of automating the analysis and detection of hostile malware. Later on, her Focused shifted to cyber physical systems where she has been working on augmenting the SCADA devices forensics. Rima received her BS degree in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University in Florida, MS degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and Currently a Computer Science PhD candidate at Tennessee Technological University. For her PhD dissertation topic, she is examining possible automatic solutions to extract and analyze the volatile memory of SCADA devices at runtime.
