Samuel Rebelsky

Biography

Samuel A. Rebelsky is Professor of Computer Science at Grinnell College, where he also serves on the Advisory Boards of the Wilson Center for Enterprise and Leadership, the Faulconer Gallery, the Vivero Digital Scholarship Program, and the Center for Teaching Learning and Assessment. Rebelsky studies study a variety of issues near the intersection of media computing, functional programming, computers in education, and computer science education, often with a focus on inclusive teaching practices. Rebelskyhas published over thirty refereed conference papers on these topics, many with undergraduate co-authors. Rebelsky serves as an information director for the Association of Computing Machinery’s (ACM) Special Interest on Computing Education (SIGCSE), as Student Volunteers Co-Chair for the SIGCSE Symposium, and as vice chair of SIGCAS, the ACM’s Special Interest Group on Computers and Society.
